Police: Woman arrested for alleged DUI, hit and run in Petaluma

A woman accused of fleeing the scene of a crash in Petaluma was arrested Thursday, according to a Petaluma Police Department Nixle Alert.

A woman accused of fleeing the scene of a crash in Petaluma was arrested Thursday, according to a Petaluma Police Department Nixle Alert.

The crash was reported shortly before 9 p.m. at C Street and South Petaluma Boulevard. When officers arrived, they found one driver with minor injuries and learned another driver had fled the scene, officials said.

The injured driver was transported to an area hospital for medical treatment.

Officers conducted an investigation and found the suspect, later identified as Taylor Arnold, to be at a residence and showing signs of being under the influence of alcohol and possibly a controlled substance, police said.

Petaluma officers determined she was the one driving the vehicle with other passengers inside when the crash occurred.

Arnold was arrested on suspicion of DUI and hit and run and taken to the Sonoma County Jail.
