Man charged after firearms recovered in Birmingham

Robert Brough, 55, from Birmingham was CHARGED with three counts of possession of a prohibited weapon.

He was remanded in custody to appear at Birmingham Magistrates Court this morning, November 2nd.

It comes after police officers recovered live firearms from an address on Salstar Close, Birmingham, on Thursday 31 October.

The force said inquiries were continuing as it “continues” to take guns off the streets as part of Operation Target.

A spokesman for West Midlands Policesaid: “A man has been charged after we recovered firearms from an address in Birmingham earlier this week.

“Robert Brough, 55, of Birmingham, has been charged with three counts of possession of a prohibited weapon.

“He was remanded in custody to appear at Birmingham Magistrates’ Court this morning, November 2.

“This comes after officers recovered viable firearms from an address on Salstar Close, Birmingham, on Thursday 31 October.

“Our requests continue.

“We continue to take guns off the streets as part of Operation Target.
