SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – The Santa Barbara Police Department has arrested a shooting suspect after a standoff near Downtown on West Canon Perdido St. Saturday.

John Palminteri from your channel news was on the scene reporting gunfire earlier in the morning around 9 a.m. and a SWAT team as part of the response.

Gunshots were reported and evacuations were in place around an apartment building off Castillo St. at the time, according to Your News Channel.
