A dry start to the weekend before unsettled weather returns

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) – The first weekend of November brings a mix of weather to the area as we start off dry with a mix of sun and clouds today. Southerly winds will allow temperatures to reach near 60 degrees, so it will be a great day for outdoor activities. That said, changes are coming tonight with a warm front moving up from the south. As a result we will have increasing clouds and rain pushing into our southern counties overnight. Just a reminder, don’t forget to turn your clocks back an hour before bed because Daylight Saving Time officially ends at 2am on Sunday!

Rain will continue into tomorrow, becoming heavy at times in our southern areas, the northern edge of the precipitation shield is currently expected to reach Eau Claire. If you’re planning anything outside, you’ll want to keep a close eye on our forecast, as adjustments are possible as new forecast data comes in. Cloudy skies and precipitation will make for a cooler but more seasonable day around 50. We’ll also have gusty southeast winds 10-15 mph.
