Exclusive | Rapper Dougie B, arrested due to violent robberies in New York –

A rapper from the Bronx with ties to hip-hop superstar Cardi B faces up to 25 years in prison on a string of felony charges for a pair of violent robberies in the Boogie Down — including a violation involving a 5-year-old child, authorities said.

Rapper Dougie B, whose real name is Arion Howard, was among five gunmen who allegedly ambushed a 33-year-old father and his young son inside a Belmont apartment on Aug. 27, according to a complaint from the Bronx Criminal Court.

After Howard, 23, blocked the man and his child from escaping the Cambreleng Avenue home, another thug pointed a gun at the father and confiscated his phone, which was used to get away with 2,500 dollars from his cash accounts, authorities said in court filings.

The rapper and his accomplices were arrested by police nine days later after he and four others allegedly committed another violent robbery in the same building, according to a second complaint in Bronx Criminal Court.

During the Sept. 5 robbery, two of the suspects allegedly threatened the victim with a knife and demanded his phones before one of the thieves stole $500 from the man’s digital wallet, court records said.

Howard allegedly approached the victim while tightening his belt and threatening, “I got something for you,” the criminal complaint stated.

Howard, who was featured in a 2022 music video with Cardi B, was charged with a felony by the Bronx District Attorney’s office for his involvement in both thefts, including robbery and theft.

In June, a 16-year-old fan alleged Howard stole more than $1,000 in cash from the teenager after he tossed dozens of $20 bills while taking a picture with his idol outside a barber shop on East 187th Street. Howard denied the incident, and the NYPD did not respond when asked if a report had been filed.
