A Duncansville man has pleaded guilty to selling narcotics, authorities say

A Duncansville man pleaded guilty in federal court to one count of drug trafficking in and around Blair, Cambria, Center and Clearfield counties, U.S. Attorney Eric G. Olshan announced Wednesday.

Douglas Hillegass, 62, pleaded guilty to one count before U.S. District Judge Stephanie L. Haines in Johnstown. The case is related to a six-month investigation into Title III wiretapping.

Hillegass was a meth dealer who obtained about six ounces of meth from Jason Lynn, a large-scale narcotics dealer, the U.S. Attorney’s Office said. Hillegass then redistributed the methamphetamine to other people.

Hillegass will be sentenced on February 26, 2025. He faces up to 40 years in prison and a fine of up to $5 million.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Jonathan D. Lusty prosecuted the case on behalf of the government.

The pursuit is part of an investigation by the Organized Crime Drug Task Force (OCDETF).
