A Geneva man charged with theft, investigators say four others are involved

A Geneva man faces theft and conspiracy charges after allegedly stealing two generators from a Waterloo business, the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reported.

Harold J. Rivera, 41, was arrested Nov. 1 by sheriff’s investigators and charged with fourth-degree larceny and fifth-degree conspiracy. Authorities say Rivera, along with four other people, entered the business, took two generators valued at $1,670 and left without paying.

Four of the five suspects involved have been detained, with additional arrests expected as the investigation continues.

Rivera was processed at the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office and is scheduled to be arraigned in Central District Court.
