Bibek Debroy was not only a polymath, but a true interdisciplinary

Although in arguments and debates there were several disagreements with him, particularly on public policy and the political ideology of the current government (incoherent as it still is), his energy, clarity and dogged exuberance provided a distinct balance , reflexive.

As almost an epistemic musician, he could bring, quote and extrapolate unusual knowledge from any field or scholarship as a musician. saam (pace) to any critical dialogue, adding sense and objectivity with enviable clarity.

Besides being industrious and self-contained, Mr. Debroy also epitomized the rare craft of contributing, quite prolifically, profound observations through great simplicity, using stories, shlokas, classic literature, historical anecdotes, law, or even an anecdote of lived experience that might help him solidify a perspective. You couldn’t ignore him (despite recurring disagreements) while interacting with him.

It will be a long time before India can experience and learn from the work of another Bibek Debroy. He will truly be remembered as a own person.
