Ben Stokes' home burglary leads to suspect's arrest

The authorities detained a suspect following a burglary TO England cricket captain Ben Stokes’ house. The incident took place on October 17 while Stokes was away in Pakistan for Test matches. His wife and children were with the family Eden Castle residence in County Durham when masked intruders broke in.
Durham Police arrested a 32-year-old man from North Yorkshire on burglary charges. The individual has been released on bail pending an investigation.
Stokes, 33, reported that his family was unharmed, but several valuables were stolen. The items stolen included his 2020 OBE medal, three necklaces, a ring and a luxury bag. Stokes posted pictures of stolen items on social media to help identify thieves.
Durham Constabulary issued a statement urging the public to assist with the investigation. “Officers are continuing to appeal for information and anyone who can help is asked to call 101, quoting incident number 543 of October 17,” according to the BBC.
The investigation is ongoing.
