The last city in Des Moines to consider moving Beggars’ Night, the survey was published

DES MOINES, Iowa — After celebrating Beggars Night on Halloween for the first time in decades, the city of Des Moines is now asking residents if they’d like to make the change permanent.

Many metro communities like Bondurant and Windsor Heights have moved Beggars’ Night to the Saturday before Halloween. The change has had positive feedback as it gives them more time to get the kids ready to go trick-or-treating and it’s not on a school night.
