MONSON, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) – The Monson Fire Departmentas well as numerous mutual aid partners, are battling an extremely large fire in the area of ​​Bradway and Butler Road.

The Monson Police Department supported their efforts by providing traffic control and home safety monitoring along the perimeter of the fire.

Residents and travelers have been asked to avoid the area until further notice.
