SEDALIA, Mo. (KCTV) – A registered sex offender in Missouri has been charged with sexually abusing another person incapable of consent.

Documents submitted to Pettis County, Missouri, Circuit Court on Tuesday, Oct. 29, revealed that Danny J. Haggerman, 54, of Sedalia, a registered sex offender, has been charged with new sex crimes.

Court records noted that Haggerman was charged with rape, sodomy and abuse of an elderly, disabled or vulnerable person in connection with incidents that occurred in October 2024. However, since he was convicted of statutory rape in 2006 , crimes are considered aggravated. .

The Missouri Sex Offender Registry indicated that Haggerman was convicted in both 2003 and 2006 of raping an 11-year-old girl.

Investigators noted that Haggerman knew his victim was incapable of consenting at the time. As of Friday, November 1, Haggerman remains behind bars at Pettis Co. with a bond of $250,000. A hearing in this case has been set for Tuesday, November 5 at 1:30 p.m. No other information has been released.
