RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — One person is dead after a car crashed into a tree in Richmond early Friday morning.

Around 1 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 25, Richmond police officers were dispatched to Chamberlayne Avenue and School Street for a single-vehicle accident in which a car had crashed into a tree.

According to police, a man, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene.
