A shooting erupted inside a McDonald’s on New York City’s Upper West Side on Halloween night, injuring two people, police said.

The shooting took place at a nearby fast food chain location 72nd Street and Amsterdam Boulevard just off Broadway, the New York Police Department told USA TODAY on Friday.

According to a preliminary investigation, a 17-year-old boy and a 19-year-old man were struck by gunfire during the melee.

As of Friday morning, no other injuries had been confirmed by police, and a motive for the shooting was not immediately known.

At the scene, officers reported finding the 17-year-old victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the right leg.

Paramedics transported the victim to hospital in stable condition.

Not long after, police said they learned a 19-year-old man also suffered gunshot wounds to the shoulder and arm. That person was transported by private vehicle to another hospital.

According to police, the man was listed in stable condition Friday morning.

No arrests have been made in connection with the shooting

To date, no arrests have been made in the case and no suspects have been publicly named.

The shooting remained under investigation Friday, police said.
