Watch: Virat Kohli dances to ‘My Name is Lakhan’ during third Test against New Zealand

India’s star batsman Virat Kohli was seen dancing to the Bollywood hit ‘My Name is Lakhan’ during Day 1 of the third Test against New Zealand at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. Notably, New Zealand captain Tom Latham won the toss and elected to bat first on the opening day as the visitors lost three wickets in the first session.

Fans also had a ball in the stands as they were seen singing, dancing and singing at the top. One such clip of some fans singing the famous Bollywood song ‘My Name is Lakhan’ with actor Anil Kumble has gone viral on social media.

In the video, two fans can be seen happily singing the Bollywood song while watching the match. Earlier in the clip, they pan to the ground where Kohli was seen performing the hook step of the song, sending fans into a frenzy.

Meanwhile, India made a change to their playing XI for the third Test, resting Jasprit Bumrah, who was suffering from viral flu, and bringing in Mohammed Siraj in his place. On the other hand, New Zealand brought in Matt Henry and Ish Sodhi in place of Tim Southee and Mitchell Santner.

The visitors didn’t get off to a great start with Akash Deep getting Devon Conway out lbw for 4 (11). After losing an early wicket, Will Young joined captain Tom Latham at the crease and the duo took their team’s score past 50. Sundar ended his partnership by cleaning up Latham for 28 (44). Next, he dismissed Ravindra for 5 (12), cleaning him up for the third consecutive time in the series..

New Zealand went into lunch on 92/3 in 27 overs with Young (38*) and Daryl Mitchell (11*) at the crease. After lunch, the duo put on a 50-run stand for the fourth wicket, while Young brought up his eighth Test fifty.
