Georgetown, DE – Delaware State Police are investigating an assault that occurred on Sandhill Road, Georgetown. The incident took place on the night of October 30, when a woman was attacked by an unidentified man.

Detectives responded to Beebe Healthcare in Lewes in the early hours of Thursday at approximately 1:30 a.m. following the report. The attack occurred as the victim approached a car parked on the side of the road near her residence in the 18000 block. She used a taser to avoid the attack and the attacker fled.

The victim suffered minor injuries and is assisting police with the ongoing investigation. Delaware State Police Troop 4 law enforcement officers are asking for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward. Detective M. Skidmore can be reached at (302) 856-5850 for pertinent details.
