Keanu Reeves express the character Shadow in Sonic The Hedgehog 3 and he wanted to make sure that what he brought to the role was true to the character.

Director Jeff Fowler praised Shadow the Hedgehog actor Keanu Reeves twitchsaying, “It’s so great that I got Keanu Reeves to voice the character and he was so fantastic to work with.”

“He thinks the character is wonderful and he definitely understood what we were going for and was really excited to do his version. Like the whole cast, (he) really wants to get it right and he really cares.”

Speaking about Reeves’ performance, Powler said: “He’s given us so many different versions of line readings and he just wants us to keep going. It wasn’t like showing up and reading the script into a microphone.”

He went on to talk about the actor’s dedication to the role, saying, “He really wanted to create a very faithful version of the character for the fans. He did research.

“In our first meeting, he went really clear and did his homework, which was great. I can’t say enough wonderful things about Keanu and what he brought to the character and the experience of making this film. I think people are going to really love his version of Shadow.”

I have loved the Sonic movie franchise and the next movie looks like it will provide another fun adventure for audiences!

In the movie, Sonic and his team face off against Shadow, and he quickly proves to be too powerful for them to take down. So in order to stop him, they have to ask for his help Jim Carreythe villainous Dr. Robotnik.

Ben Schwartz returned as Sonic and the rest of the cast also includes James Marsden like Tom Wachowski, Tika Sumpter like Maddie Wachowski and Lee Majdoub as Agent Stone.

In addition, Colleen O’Shaughnessey the voice of Miles “Tails” Prower and Idris Elba Knuckles the Echidna voices.

Sonic The Hedgehog 3 will premiere in theaters on December 20.
