BTS’s Jin Shares Rockabilly-Inspired Song ‘I’ll Be There’

BTSGin shared a new song ahead of the release of his solo LP, Happy. The upbeat track, titled “I’ll Be There,” pays homage to the rockabilly genre, blending rock and country influences.

A press release notes, “The track conveys a heartfelt message that aims to lift up those who feel down and alone, offering joy through Jin’s playful yet simple style. Jin participated in the production of the song with American composer MAX, reaching another level of artistic growth.”

Along with the song, Jin shared a music video that amplifies his rock star image. In the clip, he and his band perform outside as dozens of fans run up to them and then start a party in the parking lot around them.

Jin will release his debut solo album, Happyon November 15. Will present six pieces and “explore Jin’s journey to discover true happiness,” according to a press release. “Throughout the album, Jin candidly and wholeheartedly shares a range of emotions such as love, excitement, and courage—essential ingredients for achieving true happiness,” it notes.

Happy features production and songwriting from Take That’s Gary Barlow, who worked on ‘Running Wild’. Meanwhile, Taka and Toru from the famous Japanese rock band One OK Rock worked on “Falling”. Additional contributions came from Jacob Attwooll Pdogg, Ghstloop, Evan, Arcades, Matt Attard, Joshua Thompson and others.

Unlike his BTS bandmates, Jin has yet to drop a full solo project, though he has shared several solo tracks over the years. In December 2021, he released a short track called “Super Tuna”, though only just released the full version of the song. prior to military enlistment in 2022Jin shared “The Astronaut” a song he co-wrote with Coldplay. Earlier this month, he released a new version of his hit “Great tone.”

The South Korean musician completed his military service in June and celebration by participating in the Olympic torch relay for the 2024 Paris Olympics. Since his return, Jin has announced plans to appear on a television variety show, Kian’s Bizarre B&Bwhich is set to air on Netflix.
