Los Angeles will party on Friday.

The Los Angeles Dodgers won the World Series on Wednesday night, erasing a 5-0 deficit to secure a 7-6 victory in Game 5. Freddie Freeman, who hit four home runs in the series and had a single by two runs in the deciding game. game, was named World Series MVP.

So it’s time to celebrate, with the Dodgers announcing that the parade — and a ticketed event at Dodger Stadium — will take place in DTLA on Friday. You can find all the details of the event below:

For the first time in 36 years, the Dodgers will celebrate a World Series championship with a parade on Friday.

This is one of the few times Angelenos won’t be caught complaining about the horrendous traffic.

The last time the Dodgers won the World Series, in 2020, the city was unable to hold a parade due to the COVID-19 pandemic. You better believe Los Angeles is ready to make up for that missed opportunity.

“I think for some of the guys that have been here — Kiké (Hernández), Clayton (Kershaw), the coaches, Austin Barnes, I think Blake Treinen, just a few guys that have been here with us — we want that parade,” manager Dave Roberts he told reporters on monday. “We’ve never had the opportunity to celebrate with the city of Los Angeles. This is an incentive.”
