University of Nebraska-Lincoln police are investigating a reported sexual assault at the Devaney Center

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – The University of Nebraska-Lincoln Police Department is investigating a reported third degree sexual assault that occurred at the Devaney Center on Saturday, October 26th. That same evening, the Nebraska volleyball team played Michigan at the Devaney Center.

Police said the incident happened between 6:31 p.m. and 6:44 p.m., when an unidentified man allegedly grabbed a woman’s buttocks as he walked past her in the lobby. The suspect is described as a man between 50 and 60 years old, wearing a navy blue T-shirt. The incident was reported to UNLPD on Tuesday. Police Department announced the campus community about Wednesday’s incident.

Third degree sexual assault is a misdemeanor and involves non-consensual contact without causing serious harm to the victim.
