An independent man, sentenced to over 31 years in prison for sexually abusing a teenager

INDEPENDENCE, Ore. (KPTV) – A man will spend more than 31 years behind bars in connection with a child sex abuse investigation, according to the Polk County District Attorney’s office.

Steve Brian Wooldridge, 39, was found guilty of four counts of first-degree sexual abuse, three counts of first-degree sodomy, three counts of first-degree unlawful sexual penetration and one count of incest.

Prosecutors say the victim was between 15 and 16 years old when the abuse took place. No other details about the investigation were released.

Wooldridge was sentenced to 31 years and three months in prison. He will not be eligible for any form of early release or reduced sentence. He will also have to serve a 140-month term of post-prison supervision after his release and register as a sex offender.
