The finished star shared his unfiltered opinion in a lengthy message on X (formerly Twitter) this week, shocking fans with the revelation that he will be casting his vote for Harris and Tim Walz.

He prefaced his post by saying, “I don’t really do endorsements. I’m not shy about sharing my opinions, but I hate politics and I don’t trust most politicians.”

However, he noted, “I also understand that people want to hear from me because I’m not just a celebrity, I’m a former Republican governor.”

Schwarzenegger, now 77, served as Governor of California from 2003 to 2011, an experience he now says taught him to “love politics and ignore politics.”

When he got into the discussion about the candidates on the ballot next week, Schwarzenegger said, “To be honest with you: I don’t like either party right now.”

“It’s probably no surprise that I hate politics more than ever, which if you’re a normal person who isn’t addicted to this crap you probably understand,” he continued, adding: “I want to disconnect.”

“But I can’t,” Schwarzenegger added as he delivered his rejection of Trump 2020 election results “As un-American as that is.”

“For someone like me, who talks to people all over the world and still knows that America is the shining city on a hill, to call America (a) garbage can for the world is so unpatriotic, it makes me angry,” said the native Austrian.

He added, “And I will always be an American before I am a Republican.”

“That’s why this week I’m voting for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz,” Schwarzenegger said as he urged his followers, “We have to close the door on this chapter of American history, and I know former President Trump won’t. that he will divide, he will insult, he will find new ways to be more un-American than he already was, and we the people will only get more anger.”

“Vote this week. Turn the page and leave this garbage behind,” Total recall the star concluded, before encouraging all his followers — even those who disagree with him — to cast their vote on November 5.
