Two people charged with theft offenses in Dudley

Two people have been charged with a series of shoplifting offenses in Dudley.

Thomas Wagner, 36, from Dudley, was charged with six shoplifting offenses in Dudley, Kingswinford, Amblecote and Wordsley.

The incidents took place in June, September and October.

Chelsea Davies, 31, also from Dudley, was charged with three shoplifting incidents in Kingswinford, Wordsley and Brierley Hill in September and October.

Both have been remanded in custody to appear at Walsall Crown Court today (Wednesday, October 30).

Sergeant Jess Impey, for Lye and Amblecote Neighborhood Team, said: “Shoplifting is a bane for our retail stores, particularly those stores regularly targeted by repeat offenders.

“We fully understand the impact and frustration on businesses and regularly carry out high visibility patrols in retail areas, alongside other activities, to track and catch offenders.”

Anyone who witnesses anything suspicious is urged to report it to the police by calling 101.
