PHOENIX (AZ Family) — A large police investigation is underway in a west Phoenix neighborhood after at least one person was killed overnight.

Details are limited, but Phoenix police officers responded to a shooting call just before 2 a.m. near 47th Avenue and McDowell Road.

One person could be seen dead at the scene when the Arizona family arrived.

The scene remains very active as police try to find what led to the person’s death.

Currently, police are only blocking roads in the local neighborhood near the site.
