Mr Anderton, who previously had “a good record and good character”, has been banned from teaching and cannot teach in any school, sixth form college, relevant youth accommodation or children’s home in England.

He has no right to request reinstatement of his eligibility to teach.

David Oatley, TRA decision maker, said: “The panel finds that Mr Anderton’s conduct fell significantly below the standards expected of the profession.

“Findings of misconduct are particularly serious as they include a finding of non-consensual sexual conduct with junior colleagues.

“It was obvious to the jury that sexual motivation was both a plausible and logical inference given the facts that had already been found proven.

“In my view, the lack of understanding and remorse means there is some risk of this behavior being repeated.”
