Man found dead in Sinhagad fort valley

Pune: A man was found dead on October 27 in the valley Sinhagad Fort. The Rajgad Police they registered a case of accidental death.
The incident came to light on Sunday morning when some volunteers of a social organization, who were cleaning the fort, noticed someone under “Zunzar Buruj”. They immediately alerted the Haveli police and the forest department. The identity of the victim has not yet been established.
“With the help of locals and members of the Haveli Disaster Management Committee, the body was brought to the fort and sent for post-mortem,” said a Pune Rural police officer.
He said that the place where the body was found was in Kalyan village. Inspector Rajesh Gawali of the Rajgad Police said the man was in his 60s. The Saturday ticket of the Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) bus on the route between Swargate and Sinhgad was found with the deceased, he said. “We still don’t know his identity. Our investigations are on,” Gawali said.
