Corruption is the biggest attack on our moral values: Sonekar

As part of Vigilance Awareness Week 2024, Mr. Abhishek Sonekar of CBI delivered a special lecture on Culture of Integrity for Nation’s Prosperity at Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya, Bhopal. At the beginning of the program Head of Office Suryakumar Pandey introduced the speaker Mr. Abhishek Sonekar. The program was presided over by Surya Kumar Pandey.

On this occasion, Shri Abhishek Sonekar explained the history of vigilance, its importance and the working style of the Central Vigilance Commission through a power point presentation. After this, he gave detailed information about the establishment and functioning of vigilance directorates in CBI and Central Government institutions.

Sonekar also said that corruption is like an infectious disease. No sphere of life is exempt from its effect. It is important to encourage all people to stop the spread of corruption at different levels of society. It is important that people are aware of all the incidents happening around them and encourage them to provide evidence during the investigation process of the security agencies.

People must develop honesty within themselves. Corruption is the biggest blow to our moral values ​​of life. Corruption can only be eradicated by spreading awareness among people all over the world against it.

On the occasion, Bureau Chief Surya Kumar Pandey said that acting against accepted values ​​in public life is corruption. Corruption is a trend, people are aware of their rights but do not want to fulfill their duties, this is also a corrupt practice.
