An Iowa City woman and her teenage daughter were arrested this weekend after police say the teen stabbed a gas station clerk who owed her money.

Lametry Venus Hall, 43, is charged with first-degree robbery. According to a criminal complaint, she met her 16-year-old daughter at Casey’s Store at 204 N Dubuque Street on Saturday to collect a $200 debt from store clerk.

The daughter and the employee, both of whom are not identified in the complaint, began fighting and the daughter pulled out a knife and stabbed the employee. The employee was able to get away from the daughter and run into the kitchen area of the gas station, but Hall followed her and continued to confront the employee about the $200, the complaint states.

The police were called and Hall and her daughter were arrested. Hall was released from the Johnson County Jail on Sunday after posting $25,000 bond. A no-contact order was filed on behalf of the gas station employee.
