The singer who stopped the National Anthem to say “I-am (expletive) it up” during a political TV event has spoken out

If you didn’t know Loomis before she sang the National Anthem, chances are you do now.

And if you’re still wondering who she is and what she’s about, buckle up because the singer delivered one of the most memorable renditions of the song you’ll ever hear.

And not in a good way.

Loomis was chosen to sing the National Anthem before last week’s debate on Free and Equal Elections, which aired live on CSPAN.

Her voice sounded a little strained, but it stuck until she got to “And the red glow of the rockets.”

Then, with my eyes closed, she quickly said, “I (me) said. I (blamed him). Can I come back please?”

Then he was told it was live.

Loomis started to sign again, but stopped and said, ‘I got too nervous,’ before continuing again.”

She received applause as she left the stage.

And now she’s addressing the show via Instagram.

“Hi everyone, I’m Loomis,” she says in a video she shared there. “I just wanted to come on here and address all the craziness that happened regarding the National Anthem last night. And first of all, I would like to apologize to the Free and Equal political team for this incident. And, from the bottom of my heart, I wanted to apologize.

“I’m so sorry,” she continued. “I didn’t want to ruin the National Anthem and I wanted to thank you for giving me a chance and believing in me. I’m sorry for messing it up and please, please forgive me. You know that’s been something I’ve been scared of since I was little. I was always afraid that I would fail, and then I did and the world saw it.”

In the post along with the video, she asked that people not “use this incident to reflect on the artist that I am and try to be.

“I’m very grateful for the opportunity and all the love and support I’ve received,” she added. “I’m taking this as a lesson learned and I can’t wait to come back even stronger.”
