Ash Brazill will miss Walyalup’s final home-and-away game of the regular season against the Western Bulldogs as the defender awaits scan results on an ankle injury.

Brazill was ruled out of Walyalup’s clash with the GWS Giants last Saturday in the third term with ankle pain.

High performance manager Corey Morris said the club will have more information on the defender’s return to action once the results are in.

“Ash, we’re just waiting on the scan results to determine the severity of the ankle injury and why it’s bothering her,” Morris said.

“Once we get the results, we’ll make a plan from there.”

Defender Madi Scanlon and co-vice-captain Hayley Miller are both on trial for Week 10 as Morris provided an update on the pair.

Scanlon missed the Week 9 game with the Giants after being placed under concussion protocols from a head hit suffered in the Week 8 RAC Derby.

“Madi has progressed very well so far. She will have to go through full training this week to be available for selection,” Morris said.

Miller tried to work through the calf that saw her miss Walyalup’s last three matches.

“Hayley is doing well. We took a conservative approach on the weekend with her,” Morris said.

“She completed a good race at the weekend and will need to get through training again this week to be available.”

Forward Tara Stribley could be available for selection after managing an ankle injury all season.

“The country is doing very well. She will be selected this week, provided she gets through main training,” Morris said.

“She also completed a solid race at the weekend.”
