The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) on Tuesday morning identified Victor Ouma Okoth as the main suspect of the heinous act. Detectives reported that Ouma was taken out of his hideout at Dandora Phase IV in Nairobi on Monday evening.

The suspect, who is now detained at the Muthaiga Police Station, allegedly rented a house using the proceeds of the crime.

“The suspect was placed at the crime scene through forensic analysis, as part of the forensic investigation led by a joint team of Homicide detectives, CRIB and DCI Operations,” stated the DCI.

Detectives also said that further investigations are underway to find Ouma’s accomplices.

He is reported to have gone missing on Friday, October 18, 2024 after attending a funeral at the North Gem location.

On Tuesday, October 22, that his vehicle was found abandoned near a petrol station in Sabatia, Vihiga County.
