Following her arrest, Kelley was arraigned on charges related to a police pursuit that occurred in the town of Catlin on June 23. Authorities say Kelley was inside a vehicle that refused to stop for deputies investigating a string of burglaries. The driver of the vehicle was said to have fled the vehicle on foot while Kelley sat outside the vehicle, claimed to be injured and gave deputies a false name. Kelley was taken to Robert Packer Hospital by helicopter and was determined to be uninjured.

Kelley was arraigned on charges of second-degree criminal impersonation (a Class A felony) and obstruction of governmental administration (a Class A felony) in connection with the Catlin incident.

Kelley was issued appearance tickets to appear in Catlin Town Court at a later date before being taken to the Chemung County Jail, where she is currently being held.
