Most recently, four-star Marine General John Kelly. “That’s what he’s resorted to and I think he’s actually getting more and more unstable and deranged and he’s resorted to insults because he actually has no plan for the American people,” she replied.

With just over a week until Election Day on Nov. 5, most polls show Harris holding a slight lead over Trump nationally, but the pair remains tied in the seven battleground states that will likely decide the election.

“It’s a presidential race and it should be close,” Harris told CBS. “In all honesty, I see a lot of excitement around our campaign.”

The vice president will deliver a campaign speech on Tuesday on the Ellipse in Washington, the same venue where Trump gave his Jan. 6, 2021, speech that preceded the Capitol riot.

Harris will also campaign in Arizona, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina and Pennsylvania this week, according to campaign officials.
