‘Home Improvement’ star arrested for second DUI charge this year

Zachary Ty Bryan, who played the eldest son Brad Taylor in the sitcom “Home improvement,” was arrested and charged with DUI.

The arrest comes months after a previous DUI arrest in February.

The 43-year-old actor was arrested at 8:34 a.m. on Friday, according to Reuters Custer County Sheriff’s Office in Oklahoma. He is charged with driving under the influence and not having a valid driver’s license, according to several media outlets, including The Oklahoman, KOCO news and Fox 23 News.

Bryan was previously arrested on Feb. 17 on a felony charge of DUI and a misdemeanor count of contempt of court. He was also arrested in July 2023 on charges of felonious assault, third-degree robbery and assault. He pleaded guilty to fourth-degree assault later that year, eventually serving a week in jail and 36 months of supervised probation, according to People.

He was also arrested in October 2020 on charges of strangulation and misdemeanor assault and interfering with a police report. He pleaded guilty to two counts of fourth-degree menacing and battery, constituting domestic violence in February, People also reported.

The actor’s sentence included 36 months of “probation” and participation in the Bridges2Safety program. In May 2020, he was charged with DUI, per People.

Along with his role in the classic ’90s sitcom, Bryan is known for his appearances in “First Kid” and “The Fast and The Furious: Tokyo Drift.” Then she quit acting in 2009.
