Roseville Galleria Mall hit by burglary, police investigate

(FOX40.COM) — Law enforcement is investigating a burglary that happened Thursday at the Roseville Galleria Mall.

Around 11:30 a.m., the Roseville Police Department said they responded to a “smash and grab” inside the S&L Jeweler in the Galleria. Police said several suspects entered the store with hammers, smashed glass cases and fled with stolen jewelry.

No weapons were used and no one was injured, according to RPD. There have also been no arrests, but RPD said an investigation is ongoing.

In response, the Roseville Galleria has stepped up security.

“The safety and security of our customers, merchants and employees is always our primary concern at Westfield Galleria in Roseville,” a Roseville Galleria spokesperson told FOX40.com. “We are working closely with local law enforcement regarding the previous incident at our facility.”

The burglary takes place a week after a Theft at the Kim Tin jewelry store in Sacramento that left a woman dead. The two incidents were not linked, however, the Sacramento burglary involved five to six people who used crowbars and other items in the murder.
