Cpl. Carli Carr says sheriff’s office detectives have been working several burglaries in the past two weeks at businesses in the area of South Live Oak Drive in Berkeley County.

Detectives executed approximately 13 search warrants at various locations in the tri-county area.

Carr also mentioned that there are two suspects who are currently being sought in connection with the burglary.

David Alan Briggs, 56, and Diana Catherine Beylotte, 41, are wanted on two counts of receiving stolen property.

“Our detectives have been working day and night with our neighboring agencies to recover the stolen property to return it to the victims and also to put the criminals in jail.” Berkeley County Sheriff Duane Lewis said. “We are still actively investigating this case and are asking anyone with information to come forward so we can continue to recover evidence.”

“This case is an example of how agencies can work together to achieve a common goal.” said Lt. Michael Buenting. “Criminals often think they can take stolen goods across the county line and be safe. This is not the case. We will use every resource to ensure we recover the stolen items to their owners and put the offender behind bars.”

All five suspects who were arrested were booked into the Hill-Finklea Detention Center.

Anyone with information about this investigative case is asked to contact the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office at 843-719-4412.
